Ancelotti led Real Madrid to a La Liga and Champions League double last season as Los Blancos managed to cruise to the league title over Barcelona and Girona. However, with the Italian's contract set to expire next summer, a number of questions have been raised regarding his future. Speaking on John Obi Mikel's podcast 'The Obi One', he said: "My idea is that Real Madrid will be my last club. At the moment I am not excited about coaching a national team because I would miss what I like most, the day-to-day work with the players and the staff."

Ancelotti is one of the longest-serving managers in European football with the Italian having started his coaching career back in 1992 when he served as assistant manager to Arrigo Sacchi. He started his career as head coach with Reggiana in 1995 and has managed ten clubs so far including the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea alongside Los Blancos. He has five Champions League titles to his name and has won a total of 28 trophies.

The upcoming season could be one of the most demanding for the Italian as his side will be expected to improve on the double from last season thanks to the addition of Kylian Mbappe to their ranks.
